When The King of New York gets a tribute from the King Of Beers, the result is a Notorious B.I.G Tall Boy Can paying homage to the legendary hip hop artist.
Biggie Smalls was considered to be the King Of New York for helping to bring the scene to the forefront during the 90’s when the west coast started to dominate the charts with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Tupac, and Deathrow. Notorious B.I.G. is also respected for his great rhymes and delivery of wordplay like no other.
Budweiser has taken notice of his impact and legacy to the music world and have collaborated with The Christopher Wallace Estate to bring fans a special tribute to the legendary New York figure. The self-proclaimed “King Of Beers” took to Twitter to announce the arrival of The Notorious B.I.G. Tall Boy Budweiser Cans. As of now, the special cans will only be available exclusively in New York where fans can sip a cold one in homage to Biggie Smalls. As a nice touch, the cans have on its design several of Big’s “Unbelievable” bars emblazoned at the top. Big’s borough Brooklyn is also represented to the fullest, with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge depicted in the can’s bottom corner.
Big’s mother Voletta Wallace has nothing but appreciation for the love her son has received from the iconic beer brand by issuing a statement shared by HipHopDX. “I am honored to know that a brand such as Budweiser wanted to celebrate my son in this way,” she states. “Christopher’s legacy and brand value is extremely important to myself and the family and memorializing him on the can of an iconic beer brand as Budweiser is something I believe he would be happy with.”
