NYPD Officer Put A Hit On 50 Cent

According to the New York Daily News, a Commanding Officer of the NYPD is being audited by his department for allegedly threatening the life of entertainer 50 Cent. The report indicates that Commanding Officer Emanuel Gonzalez made the remark to another officer before attending a charity boxing event in the Bronx – the reason being: 50 Cent was himself rumored to be attending.

The threat occurred during a routine roll call taking place at the 72nd Precinct. “The inspector just said that at roll call,” the source told the Daily News. “I’m like WTF.” No one present during the one-sided exchange is said to be holding a playback recording of such.

And yet, the alleged threat is still being taken rather seriously. The New York Daily News says they contacted the NYPD who confirmed a “The incident is under internal review.” TMZ got in touch with 50 Cent’s reps who say the rapper and his camp are taking the issue with the same level of seriousness.

“Mr. Jackson takes this threat very seriously and is consulting with his legal counsel regarding his options going forward,”

Emanuel Gonzalez remains on duty for now and it seems his dislike of 50 Cent is at the hands of his fans who threatened him with violence when the NYPD was looking into the “Get the Strap” slogan.
