Silvia Rhone received a musical salute from the likes of Alicia Keys and Sara Bareilles at the City of Hope’s Spirit of Life Gala. Rhone is the chairman and chief executive officer of Epic Records. It was a big money event where tickets began at $1,500, with tables of 10 ranging to $60,000.
The night also saw a sight that 90’s fans have waited to see for years. The original four members, Cindy Herron, Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones, teamed up with newest member Rhona Bennett, who joined the group in 2003, with the group’s founders, Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy, at the event.
The group has been honored as a seven-time Grammy-nominated group that has sold more than 20 million records worldwide to date. Billboard in 2015 pronounced the band as the ninth most-successful girl group of all-time.
WorldWide Entertainment TV along with former Bad boy producer Herb Middleton are in the works of having a docuseries about original member Maxine Jones. Stay tuned for more. En Vogue are the Diva / Vixen of the Day for #FemaleFriday on WWETV.
