Janet Jackson’s life and career will be seen in a documentary later this month and her niece is following in the family legacy.

It is only the next logical question for Paris Jackson to answer is whether or not she will join the mic with her iconic aunt in a studio booth. The Jackson kids have always had an affinity for music through the patriarch Joe Jackson and it appears Paris is also taking a liking to a career in acting. Sitting down with Access, she spoke about her new movie, Sex Appeal which also stars Mika Abdalla, Fortune Feimster and Margaret Cho.

During the brief exchange, Paris, who is also a musician, was asked if she would ever consider collaborating with her music icon aunt, Janet Jackson.

“Um, we haven’t talked about it, but I’m not opposed to it,” said Paris. “I love collaborating with all kinds of artists. The genre really doesn’t turn me off, doesn’t matter what genre it is. I can’t say that I see myself doing trap music anytime in the near future, but I’m open to everything.”

During the conversation, she also discussed her family and namely, her brothers Michael Jackson Jr., also known as Prince, and the youngest, Blanket.

“I think my brother is probably the nicest person I’ve ever met,” she said of Prince. “Absolutely adore him, I adore all my brothers. My best friends.”
