On September 11, 2000, 19 terrorists from al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial airplanes in the United States. After taking control of the aircraft, they purposely crashed two planes into the upper floor of the Twin Towers, the tallest buildings in New York City, standing at 1,368 and 1,362 feet tall. The attack claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people, and America has promised never to forget about the heinous incident.
