Michael Jackson and R. Kelly are legendary figures in the music industry and fans are debating whether or not one could beat the other in a Verzuz.

Michael Jackson’s 13th and final No. 1 hit in the US during his lifetime was 1995’s “You Are Not Alone,” was written by fallen R&B star R. Kelly. It holds the distinction of being the first song to debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This accolade has some fans taking the side of R. Kelly in a Verzuz hypothetical. It has been decided by some music fans that R. Kelly has no peers if he was ever to have a Verzuz battle.

Of course, “The King Of Pop” has a huge following til this day and one woman made a bold statement of, “So y’all said nobody can beat r Kelly in a verzuz ig y’all forgot about Micheal Jackson bc he would SMOKE R KELLY IN A VERZUZ.”

Busta Rhymes says no one  in the hip hop world is considered to be a hard person to beat by fans and even the rapper himself. He claimed that every rapper he asked to join him on the popular series either turned him down or never got back to him about participating. Two fans decided to provide their list of songs on why their favorite would win in a Verzuz.

One person listed the following songs that he believes would win over R. Kelly. that included Thriller, Billie Jean, Off The Wall, Rock With You, Dirty Diana, Black Or White, Beat It, Remember The Time, Smooth Criminal, and BAD.

Another follower posted a response with R, Kelly tracks that included 12 Play, Bump N Grind, I Believe I Can Fly, I Wish, Trapped In The Closet (1-2), Step In The Name Of Love, Down Low, Your Body’s Calling, Ignition, and It Seems Like You’re Ready.

Others decided to throw in other R & B icons into the fray such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and the Isley Brothers.
