Female rappers have been known for their sexual lyrics and women empowerment, but now one hip hop artist has some people up in arms over her song promoting “Planned Parenthood.”
The single with lyrics such as “he got 1 kid, 2 kids, 3 kids, 4, bitch he cheaper by the dozen if his ass got any more,” has been deemed very offensive to some listeners. TFNW Nique has been mistaken by some to be popular Atlanta rapper, Latto, but she comes with controversy that even she didn’t garner with her former name of Mulatto.
The rapper, who has previously advocated for pro-choice, has urged viewers to join the fight for abortion rights and access after the US Supreme Court ruled to overturn Roe vs Wade, allowing states to individually set their own laws on abortion.
“We already know who’s going to be hurt the most by these ridiculous abortion bans: Black women, Brown women, the LGBTQ+ community, and communities with low incomes,” Latto said in a statement.

Latto continued in her statement, “Because of this country’s history of racism and discrimination, these folks already have a hard time getting the health care they need. We all deserve to be safe and it’s every person’s right to make decisions about their own bodies.”
She concluded: “As an artist, I want to use my platform to let these politicians know: my body is for no one to control but me.”
