The former President Donald Trump continues to be kept of major social media platforms due to his part in the Insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th.

When word got out that Trump may be reinstated on Mark Zuckerberg’s platform, another online hashtag trend of #DeleteFacebook started to trend because of a large portion of people who have the app did not want to see number 45 back online.

The debate between Trump followers and his detractors comes down to how influential the former president is with his commentary on topics. Many believe Trump will continue with disinformation and/or bring back the notion that he never really lost the election.

It looks like the people against Trump being reinstated got what they wished for as The Facebook Oversight Board upheld their ban of President Donald Trump according to New York Times. A company-appointed panel ruled that the ban was justified at the time but added that the company should reassess its action and make a final decision in six months.
