Rick Ross is still in promotion mode as he hit up The Breakfast Club this week to discuss Port Of Miami 2. He revealed his thoughts about Nicki Minaj’s comments that were made about him during a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.
Nicki claimed she went to speak with President Obama about Meek Mill, her boyfriend at the time, and saw a text from Ross calling her a “keeper”, but in 2017 on a single entitled “Apple Of My Eye,” Ross had a different tune. Nicki Minaj felt that Rick Ross did it as a cheap publicity stunt to sell records. She then went on to tell Rick Ross to “sit your fat ass down.”
The comment even got a rile out of Rick Ross’ longtime rival, 50 Cent, he took to social media to make fun of the Miami Rapper due to his fellow New Yorker mocking him.
“I mean, if somebody went to meet Obama with you, she is a keeper until you find out otherwise,” Ross said. The label boss for Maybach Music Group continued to explain his viewpoint about the whole Drake, Meek Mill, and Nicki Minaj situation as being volatile for those involved.
But most definitely when I seen it go sour, it would be easy to assume she may have had something to do with that and if somebody tells you they didn’t, they’re lying. But everybody moved forward. She moved forward, she doing her thing. I’m happy to see her do that. Meek doing his thing. Drizzy, they doing they thing.
