Rihanna has become one of the biggest artists in history much less from her island of Barbados. Bursting onto the scene as a teenager, no one saw the singer becoming one of the wealthiest artists on the planet with a plethora of businesses to boot.
This type of record smashing career makes for a great documentary and she will be receiving her roses while she is alive in a film that will be directed by Peter Berg.
According to reports, director Peter Berg reportedly confirmed that the documentary is set to come out in Summer 2021. In a recent interview, Berg stated, “The Rihanna doc is something I’ve been working on with her for almost four years now. Amazon’s gonna release it, summer next year, sometime hopefully around the Fourth of July,” he continued.
“It’s been a really epic journey, the past four years with her. She’s a remarkable woman, who every day seems to grow and branch out into new businesses and new endeavors at a rate that it’s almost hard to keep up with. So every time we think we’re going to finish the movie and put it out, she does something like start a fashion line like Fenty, or her lingerie line, or her skincare line. She’s firing on all cylinders, she’s making new music now and she’s having so much success in business and she’s such an entrepreneur that we’re letting it grow, but we are gonna try and close it up in the spring and release it in the summer.”
Rihanna has yet to confirm the news of this documentary. A few months ago, it was reported that Riri was going to expose Jay Z and Beyonce in this film for their business practices in compromising artists they work with for their own projects. In any case, the documentary will indeed have her fans patiently waiting.
