Shenseea takes another step in getting crossover appeal in the United States by teaming up with Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion for the music video “Lick.
The two women met each other last summer as Megan Thee Stallion showed some women solidarity at the time. Check out the clip of Megan Thee Stallion being in awe of the dancehall beauty.
The Jamaican superstar brings the dancehall expertise on production by Murda Beatz. The single samples Pupa Nas T and Denise Belfon’s “Work.” Megan Thee Stallion brings her trademark steamy lyrics to assist the song.
The music video and song is getting mixed reactions online. Some people believe the collaboration is “terrible.” Check out the reactions below.

It’s a like a knock off WAP. Without the video this song wouldn’t get any plays ☹️

Yall gonna stop comparing #Lick and #WAP they’re not the same thing. Not even the same rhythm or genre. You’re just bored and looking for something to hate. Get a job, leave Shenseea and Meg alone.
