Silkk The Shocker speaks on the situation with Corey Miller aka C Murder and states he has evidence the hip hop artist is innocent.
Rapper C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, was convicted of second-degree murder in 2009 for the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old fan named Steve Thomas at a nightclub in Harvey, Louisiana, in 2002. Miller was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
There have been several twists and turns in the case since then. In 2018, a judge granted Miller a new trial after it was revealed that prosecutors had withheld evidence during his original trial. However, the Louisiana Supreme Court overturned that decision in 2020 and reinstated Miller’s conviction.
Currently, Miller’s legal team is seeking to have the conviction overturned once again, arguing that the prosecution knowingly used perjured testimony from witnesses and withheld evidence that could have helped Miller’s defense. The case is still ongoing, and it is unclear what the final outcome will be.
In an interview with Art Of Dialogue, Silk The Shocker claims he can prove the innocence of C-Murder and that he hates knowing he is locked up knowing he didn’t do the crime.
