The legendary singer who was simply known as “The Voice”, is remembered fondly on the day she passed away.

Whitney Houston is one of the greatest singers in the history of the world and the world has not forgotten. She was born on August 9th 1963, but became an immortal icon on February 11, 2012 when she had an untimely passing.

There have been countless artists who have looked up to the singer’s amazing career and have tried to reach the level of her vocal prowess. Houston was also a force in the movie world as she captured audiences with her performance in “The Bodyguard”.

The single “I Will Always Love You’ was a remake of Dolly Parton’s hit song, but she made it her own when the song dropped on the soundtrack for “The Bodyguard”.

Of course in life people face trials and tribulations, but Whitney Houston’s issues were front and center in the media because of her celebrity status. It has been well documented in movies and films.
