Stefflon Don got into heat over a pic and caption she made promoting her forthcoming music video. She unknowingly provoked Americans with some inflammatory comments about the Black Lives Matter movement. While promoting her new single, the British rapper staged her arrest at the hands of a white police officer.

In the caption, she wrote, “Bloodclaat mi a get locked up Black Lives Matter” with a laughing face emoji.

When a fan asked Stefflon to change the caption considering it was Juneteenth, she lashed out instead.

“Tell America yall need a new President,” she said in a since-deleted comment. “Get your sensitive ass out of my comments plz about Black Lives ain’t no joke who da fuq said it was? And if you aint physically done nothing about it then definitely don’t say nothing because you don’t really care you think typing on insta will solve your problems lol.

“Educate your self. By the way slavery aint no joke either but you still tune in to watch the movie that makes the same white man who enslaved you money and you applaud it and they get rewarded for it now go underneath the real enemies comments not mine.”

United Kingdom Blogger Liu Romaine Scott wrote a response to the whole debacle and asked the question if Kanye West has been cancelled yet.

Yes @stefflondon did make a very bad decision with that video, also with her response to fair criticism about the post.

From the visuals it looks like Steff was filming a scene or BTS for her new single of her being arrested.
She unwisely said black lives matter, and some people were offended because it can be interrupted to make light of the situations black Americans do go through with police brutality.

I don’t know if the person recording posted the video without Steff’s permission. But it looks like it was a clip that should of never seen the timeline just to avoid a mazza.

Her response though really made it worse where now Black American’s are again thinking Black Brits are ignorant towards issue’s of race.

This was her first response “Tell America yall need a new President.

Get your sensitive a** out of my comments plz about Black Lives ain’t no joke who da f*q said it was? And if you aint physically done nothing about it then definitely don’t say nothing because you don’t really care you think typing on insta will solve your problems lol. Educate your self. By the way slavery aint no joke either but you still tune in to watch the movie that makes the same white man who enslaved you money and you applaud it and they get rewarded for it now go underneath the real enemies comments not mine”

Now I see where Steff was coming from, the clip wasn’t intended to be seen as making light of a tragic situation but it unfortunatly was. So a response like this seems like a person who got triggered trying to defend themselves.
Especially saying this after #Juneteenth

Either way, everyone’s makes mistakes. Don’t act like famous Black American’s don’t stay outlandish sh*t on a daily basis.
We don’t put that on all the ones doing honest goodwill to the cause.

but don’t let this fool you into thinking we don’t have Black British individuals who are fighting the same injustices like our American counterparts.

Have you cancelled Kanye West yet?
