Tory Lanez has recently hired David Kenner, a lawyer who previously represented Suge Knight, leading to speculation about Knight’s thoughts on the case.
Knight, who is currently serving a 28-year sentence in connection to the death of Terry Carter in 2015, shared his insight on Lanez’s case involving Megan Thee Stallion in an interview with Rolling Stone. “I understand Megan’s situation because I have experienced something similar,” Knight said, referencing the shooting he and Tupac Shakur were involved in in Vegas.
“I still have a bullet fragment an inch from my skull today. They didn’t remove it because they said if it had gone another inch, I would have been either dead or a vegetable. So, I know what it’s like when people say, ‘You didn’t get shot, this didn’t happen, she’s lying.’ They accused me of stuff too,” he added.

Suge Knight has weighed in on rapper Tory Lanez’s recent legal troubles. He believes that if he had the same attorney as Lanez, David Kenner, during his own case, “I wouldn’t be having this conversation from prison.” Knight also emphasized that he believes having a better legal team would have helped him significantly.

According to Rolling Stone, a source has claimed that Lanez regrets not testifying at his trial, which ultimately led to his conviction on three counts. Knight stated, “If he’s guilty, that’s one thing, but if he didn’t have the right person representing him to get a fair shake, that’s another thing.” Knight also shared that Lanez is probably going through “the worst days of his life” in county jail, describing the conditions as “horrible and dirty” with poor food and unsanitary living conditions.
