Attorneys for college students speak after APD officers' charges dropped in tasing incident


Attorneys for Taniyah Pilgrim and Messiah Young said they were dragged out of a car and tased by officers during protests in downtown Atlanta in 2020 after the murder of George Floyd. On Monday, the special prosecutor for the case decided to drop charges against the APD officers.

In 2021, Taniyah Pilgrim, a Spelman student, and Messiah Young, a Morehouse student, described their enduring trauma from the episode.
