Doja Cat has jumped from one frying to pan to the next it seems like over her recent comments on an Instagram Live chat. She originally appeared on the platform to discuss to her fans about the drama she found herself in concerning the belief by people that she has self hate of her race and a controversial song entitled “Dindu Nuffin”.
She also spoke about the issue of promising fans that she would show her breasts if they helped to reach the number one ranked artist on the Billboard charts. Doja Cat sounded perplexed about the emphasis that is put on rankings instead of the artistry.
“Your favorite artist — and there’s no judgment — if they care about [going #1], wonderful, that’s fine. There’s nothing wrong about wanting a #1 and working hard to get to that #1,” said Doja Cat. “For me, I don’t give a shit. I just wanna fucking make music. I just don’t get it. I still don’t understand fully what a #1 means.”
Tekashi 6ix9ine has taken offense to her comments as in his bid to be the number one ranked artist, he made claims of thievery on the part of the long standing institution of Billboard. He was seemingly triggered by Doja Cat’s words and he decided to fight back with a warning.
“She started with the wrong one,” said 6ix9ine in the comments. “Give me till tomorrow #canceldoja.”
