WorldWide Entertainment TV Network streaming will begin a series on Sunday September 13th that will delve into social constructs created through the medium of entertainment. The first episode of “Untold Truths” documentary series is entitled “Cradle To The Grave” that will deal with how black culture was sculpted through mass media and how it entails with the current condition we see today with Black Lives Matter.
The first ever black family portrayed on television in a sitcom format was “Good Times” which starred Esther Rolle. An interview with the creator of “Good Times” sheds light on his struggles on providing a positive image for blacks in contrast with the Jewish writers on the program.
One of his controversial topics included “Black Jesus” which was groundbreaking at the time. Check out the video below.
