The Game Proclaims Drake The Michael Jackson Of Rap

Michael Jackson is believed to be the greatest entertainer to ever live by generations of music fans.

In hip hop circles, Fat Joe told fans on his podcast show that Toronto artist Drake is the Michael Jackson of this generation.

“Drake is possibly the hardest person to get in touch with,” Joe said during his Instagram Live show. “And let’s be clear: Every song he does goes No. 1. He’s just like the Michael Jackson of this time.”

It should be noted that Drake surpassed Michael Jackson for the most top 10 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 with DJ Khaled’s “Popstar” and “Greece,” his 39th and 40th top 10s. It will be interesting to see if Drake collects more records when he releases his sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy, to start off the new year in January.

Now west coast rap icon, The Game, Drake is also the Michael Jackson of hip-hop. The Game has collaborated with Drake in the past on the hit song 100.

“There’s only one artist alive that has more No. 1 albums than me. I think Drake has 10 and his last effort [Dark Lane Demo Tapes] was 11,” said Game before proclaiming Drake’s greatness.

“Drake is amazing. He’s like the Michael Jackson of hip-hop,” he added. “There’s no writer, there’s no artist like Drake. He different. Everything Drake does is amazing.”

Game continued to speak on the impact of Drake in this new generation of hip hop. “He gets on an unsigned artist’s record, the unsigned artist becomes a major artist. He puts out songs that women love to death, that you love…”
