Shea Marie Diva & Vixens Podcast Exclusive with Toronto rap group collective The Sorority and female rapper Eternia. The women paid homage to DJ Mel Boogie in 2018 for her 25th anniversary event. From The Vault with WorldWide Entertainment TV aka WWETV 6ix.

DJ Mel Boogie has been apart of the Toronto hip hop culture for decades in 2018, a cast of female rappers that included Haviah Mighty, Pagliacci, Keysha Freshh, and Lex Leosis headlined her 25th anniversary show.

In the previous months leading up to that event, DJ Mel Boogie toured with The Sorority continuing her support of Toronto rappers. She has also toured with Maestro Fresh Wes, Eternia, and opened for popular entertainers including Kevin Hart, Nick Cannon, Major Lazer, Lauryn Hill and Busta Rhymes according to Northside Hip Hop Archive.


She originally started as a teacher at York University, but her love for music led her down a different path. Eventually her hard work would get her recognized by Stylus, Manifesto, the Black Canadian Awards, and Luminato, and profiled on CBC, TSN, Breakfast Television, CP24, Much Music, MTV Canada, Toronto Life, Exclaim, and E-Talk.

The Sorority who headlined the event had gained steam for their lyrical dexterity with their focus on women empowerment.Their talents would be utilized by in a collaboration album, DJ Mel Boogie Presents the L.I.F.E. Project, which featured only female MC’s, including Toronto’s Eternia, Keysha Freshh, Lex Leosis, Haviah Mighty, LolaBunz, Jelly Too Fly, and pHoenix Pagliacci.

The podcast is in tribute to Shea Marie who passed away a month after 35th birthday in August of 2021. She was a singer and hip hop artist from Toronto.
