THE BIG PITCH & HOLLYWOOD NORTH events at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival illustrates the diversity of the annual event.
(WorldWide Entertainment TV) Nine emerging mid-career BIPOC filmmakers have been carefully selected from CaribbeanTales Black Incubator and Studio Access Project (CTBISAP) and the CineFam Limitless Incubator have been chosen to participate in “The Big Pitch” on September 11, 2022.
The highly competitive incubator programs provide opportunities to BIPOC filmmakers to acquire skill sets and training that will help ensure their success & culminates with “The Big Pitch.” The event is headed by the founder of CaribbeanTales media group, Frances-Anne Solomon, who you can check out her exclusive WorldWide Entertainment TV interview here. This year’s chosen participants have the opportunity to pitch their projects to a group of industry leaders put together by CaribbeanTales Media Group. The filmmakers will present their projects to top Canadian and international broadcasters and distributors for cash, mentorship, and support for their projects.
The Toronto International Film Festival also attracts international artists and entertainers. This year was no different as K Victoria hit the entertainment district in the city to provide listeners pleasurable music from her catalog.
WorldWide Entertainment TV was also on site to cover the performance of Los Angeles native, K Victoria, in Toronto. The artist has opened for acts that include, Wyclef John, Maxie Priest & Gyptian. The multi-talented artist has had the privilege to perform at the famed Apollo Theater on two occasions. K Victoria has had two #1 hit singles on the Top Ten Network Caribbean Countdown for 15 consecutive weeks, proving the staying power of the artist and her music.
K Victoria sets high goals for herself and at the heart of those goals is to be a role model for young women, proving that if you reach you can achieve. The artist is a former Miss American Virgin Islands and a semi-finalist in the Miss World pageant, where to no surprise was the winner of the talent competition.
