TikTok users encountered issues using the platform for hours.
This of course led to outrage over the inconvenience by users who hit up social media site alternatives like Twitter and Instaram. It took a few hours, but the technical difficulties seen by users slowly eroded in certain parts of the United States.
Last year there was controversy surrounding the social media app by then President Donald Trump. He believed the company was a security threat to the citizens of the United States and wanted the social media app banned from the country. His plan to ban the organization was met by a huge backlash by users and would eventually be blocked by a judge in court.
Things have come back to normal for users of TikTok as the company informed its followers on social media platform Twitter. The company wrote, …Annnnnd we’re back! Your app experience should be returning to normal. Thanks for bearing with us, everyone.’
