One of the biggest sitcoms in the 1990’s included the hilarious “MARTIN” television series. When Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell-Martin joined forces to create the characters of “Martin and Gina”, they were considered the era’s funniest couple by the growing hip hop generation. “Martin” premiered on Fox in August 1992. They made millions of people laugh and became legends as a result.The finale of Martin aired in May 1997 as its five-season run came to an end.
The beginning of the end came after a huge dispute between the Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell-Martin during a Detroit taping of the series where she walked off the set. which led to legal action. Regina “Gina” Waters-Payne was no more after the incident as she left the show in April 1997, after settling the lawsuit against Martin Lawrence of sexual harassment. There were rumors that Lawrence started to believe and behave like he and “Gina” were a real couple

In February of 2018 the cast members reunited as Martin posted to his official Instagram a photo with Tisha Campbell-Martin along with Tichina Arnold who portrayed Gina’s friend Pam. Gossip started flying about a “Martin” reboot soon after.
Last week the situation reared its ugly head once again during an interview segment with Martin Lawrence for his promotion of the movie “Bad Boys For Life”. He reassured everyone that there was nothing but love between himself and Campbell-Martin. The leading lady from the hit tv show Martin, has finally broken her silence about the incident below as The Breakfast Club breaks down her comments.
