Earlier today (February 23rd), the hip hop world saw the return of “Hot Boy” Bobby Shmurda after a lengthy prison stint.
Social media was celebrating his return and celebrities such as Chris Brown touted him as the real “King Of New York”. Authorities confirmed Shmurda was released from a New York prison amid speculation about whether he would attempt a music industry comeback.
Messages were left on Tuesday with Shmurda’s lawyer. The 26-year-old performer out of Brooklyn had previously called the case a sham.
Shmurda, whose birth name is Ackquille Pollard, was best known for Hot Boy and the “Shmoney dance” video, which had millions of YouTube views. He came home to four plaques which included his signature song receiving the accolade of five times platinum.
Another person returned to social media today and that is Toronto politician, Norman Kelly, who was famous for making tweets about Meek Mill during the Drake and Meek Mill beef.
He took to Twitter to welcome back Bobby Shmurda.
Welcome home, Bobby.
