The Toronto music scene has more attention on it than it ever has thanks to the likes of Drake, The Weeknd, and Tory Lanez. The social media era has indeed seen an explosion of the 6ix and it became even more apparent when Drake made a surprise appearance on Tory Lanez’s Quarantine Radio.
The two Toronto rappers racked up 315,000 viewers at its peak of the Instagram live which helped break a new IG live record for the most viewers in one session. Tory Lanez has exploited the self quarantine that the world is under due to the coronavirus pandemic that has been forced everyone to stay inside their homes.
Quarantine Radio has been a huge success since he launched it on his IG Live. The concept is he goes live on Instagram to entertain his followers with guests that have ranged from hip hop legends such as DMX to music icons like Justin Bieber to the hottest new acts in the business in the likes of Megan Thee Stallion.
