Black History Month with WorldWide Entertainment TV. Canadian hip-hop artists are known for their musical prowess, but did you know that many of them have also made their mark in the world of movies and television?

MAESTRO FRESH WES

After seeing Tupac in “Juice ” along with studying Ice-T and Ice Cube in “New Jack City ” and ” Boyz In The Hood ” , Wes decided to take several acting classes in Toronto. He later landed roles in ” Paid In Full” , “Four Brothers” , “Honey” and “Redemption” along side Academy Award Winner Jamie Foxx.

Wes was also nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actor in A Dramatic Role his performance in the George F. Walker series ” The Line “.

INFINITE

Infinite has also done some acting in films like the Tookie Williams movie that was a biopic of the founder of the Crips. The movie starred Jamie Foxx and the Canadian hip hop artist also took a part in 50 Cent’s “Get Rich Or Die Trying” biopic.

DAN-E-O

Dan-e-o (using his real name, Daniel Faraldo) landed a bit role in an episode of the A&E series, Breakout Kings in 2011, played a key role in his first full-length movie, Anything Goes that same year and starred in 2014’s Tapped Out. His next feature-length film, titled Lifechanger was released in 2018.
