Tory Lanez Responds To Cassidy Accusation Of Stealing Bars

celebrity news

Tory Lanez latest freestyle on Hot 97 gets called into question after Cassidy alleges the artist of ripping off bars from him.

Tory Lanez is one of those rare artists who can sing, but also drop heat on the mic with any hip hop artist. The artist chose the latter during his appearance on Hot 97 recently. He caught everyone’s attention when he made accusations toward Megan Thee Stallion winning awards. The session on the mic caught the ears of lyrically inclined Cassidy.

Cassidy made his name in the industry for being one of the better lyricists who could throw down on the mic with the best of them, The former Ruff Ryders artist had a message for Tory Lanez after he took in the lyrics as he jumped on social media to give his thoughts about Lanez.

On his Instagram page, Cassidy shared a video noting several instances where Tory Lanez seemingly stole some of his own punchlines. “I’m Tory Lanez‘s favorite rapper,” captions Cass, implying that he’s not entirely flattered by the lyrical similarities. As comments began flooding in, Tory came through to add his own two cents, addressing Cassidy directly with a few thoughts on the matter.

“U are one of my favorite rappers Cass,” writes Tory. “What’s the problem?” He added another comment shortly thereafter, in which his tone was less than impressed. “I guess this is what happens when you try to pay homage,” he writes. “The first freestyle I shouted ya name out because you did inspire me. The second one I went on YOUR beat. Shit is sad how you old n***as be mad at the young n***as for not showing love then when we do…we get responses like this.”

Tory Lanez obviously did not take the message from Cassidy in a positive light. One has to wonder if Lanez will go back to his days of battling other rappers such Joyner Lucas and Don Q. The hip hop scene would get pretty interesting if these two artists go at it on the mic.
