Troyman Speaks On Tupac’s Makaveli Records & His Stepdad

This week’s Friday Flashback includes Tupac Shakur and his Makaveli Records imprint. Netflix’s Troyman from Rhythm and Flow reveals that his stepdad was an artist that was suppose to sign with Makaveli records before the untimely passing of the legendary Tupac.

 

Ms. Goldi also speaks about meeting Tupac Shakur in New York hanging with Treach of Naughty By Nature. It was during the time period of Shakur embracing the role of Bishop for what would become a cult classic in the movie “Juice.” Ms. Goldi continued the trip down memory lane by asking Troyman if he knew about the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Troyman did in fact know about it, but not the details about WorldWide Entertainment TV being the source for the news breaking of the planned statue that was to represent the center after the purchase by Jim Burnett from Afeni Shakur.

Troyman also revealed in the full interview that his stepdad use to bring him into the studio at a very young age and it being the inspiration for him becoming a hip hop artist himself.
