With the current landscape of celebrities and hip hop icons entering politics, we take a look back on Tupac Shakur speaking on his political plans back in 1996. As we know, Kanye West, is the biggest hip hop star ever to actually run for the president of the United States. He has even created his own party by the name of the “Birthday Party”.
It was also recently announced by Diddy that he would launch “Our Own Black Party” and has told people to vote for Joe Biden to remove President Trump from office.
The irony of it all is that today’s stance by Ice Cube and Diddy shows how advanced Tupac was with his thinking to mobilize the hip hop community into a political platform.
