President Trump has put in a submission for an Executive Order to regulate the powerful social media platforms that have risen to power in the last few years. Trump who has accused mainstream news outlets such as CNN as being fake news has turned his focus to companies like Twitter.
….Twitter is completely stifling FREE SPEECH, and I, as President, will not allow it to happen!

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany revealed the plan during a press pool aboard Air Force One. According to CBS News, the Executive Order will curtail legal protections of social media companies. The legislation is still in the preliminary stages and could change in scope and scale as it moves through the process.
However the leader of the organization has fired back a message to the leader of the free world. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey responded to the President’s attacks telling the POTUS “we’ll continue to point out incorrect or disputed information about elections globally. And we will admit to and own any mistakes we make.”
This does not make us an “arbiter of truth.” Our intention is to connect the dots of conflicting statements and show the information in dispute so people can judge for themselves. More transparency from us is critical so folks can clearly see the why behind our actions.
