Two Black Owned Media Outlets Unite For New BET Style Platform In Canada

WorldWide Entertainment TV Exclusive Article by Kevin Douglas

The year 2020 has been a year that has been screaming for change in the system racism oriented North American society. Major corporations have made their support well known in backing Black Lives Matter for social change.  Many black people are for supporting their own businesses to help spread social equality in the business world.

We have our powerhouse organizations such as Diddy’s Revolt TV that houses shows such as “Drink Champs” and the iconic BET which once included outlets such as 106 and Park.

These outlets are groundbreaking, but there has never been a mainstream outlet coming from across the border in Canada to bring awareness to that country’s entertainment and underground scenes. That time is now as 416 and The City has been providing a countdown show in the last couple of years for artists from both the underground and mainstream worlds that have meshed “Rising Stars”, “Underground Artists” “Legends” & “Icons” just as WorldWide Entertainment TV’s own WWETV Network show.

The two entities have decided to come together as WWETV will now be the official sponsor of 416 and The City Countdown show. The two companies will also now provide programming from both bodies for shows that are currently slotted on Rogers Cable 663 and Bell Cable 842 along with being able to stream on IWatch App.

You will be seeing original programming from WorldWide Entertainment TV and 416 and The City. Stay tuned to our social media and official website to stay updated on the news and latest music videos trending worldwide.

AJ Calloway has also been announced by 416 and The City as becoming a personality on the platform who was the host of classic BET original programming.

As music lovers of the late 1990’s and early part of the millennium know, AJ provided top notch entertainment for fans of BET on 106 and Park. Some of the biggest moments in urban media history took place under the watch of AJ.

AJ has worked with entertainment platform “Xtra” and provided  news to a brand new audience in recent years.  He also had one of the last interviews ever with the legendary Whitney Houston.

The star power continues between the two media brands as WorldWide Entertainment TV is still the official media platform for Legacy Garden in Atlanta. For the uninitiated, the building is the home of the Tupac Shakur Center For The Arts for children and there are plans to wrinkle out the legal issues that stopped the progress of the community based organization.

WorldWide Entertainment TV will be providing news from around the world and original programming with official WWETV hosts. WWETV has covered events in Canada, United States, and United Kingdom. In 2017, WorldWide Entertainment TV was at the BET Awards weekend. Check out the footage below.

At this event in Los Angeles, WWETV was there to capture the first performance ever by Cardi B doing the hit single “Bodak Yellow”. Check out the footage below.

WorldWide Entertainment TV’s foundation originates from Toronto. The company has also covered major events in the city such as Drake’s OVO Fest. At one of the years, WWETV was able to capture the rise of Cardi B and Drake crowing her the top female in the business.

Artists and promoters can contact both platforms with any inquiries.

So as you can see, black entrepreneurs are coming together in these troubling times of the coronavirus and the betterment of social justice for minorities with providing another avenue for news, entertainment, and artists to thrive.
