Tyler Perry made huge news late last year when he opened up the first ever all black studios in Atlanta. It was a momentous time for blacks in America who now had a studio of their own to film movies and television shows.
It wasn’t long after that legends such as Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence creating projects in his studios. Forbes is now reporting that Tyler Perry is officially a billionaire less than a year later after his studio launch that had stars such as Halle Berry, Whoopi Goldberg, and Oprah Winfrey.
The man who once slept in his car and was homeless has now become apart of a handful of entertainers from the African American community to hit the billion dollar mark.
