This weekend in Jamaica was the mega event entitled Reggae Sumfest. Fans were treated to the biggest acts in the music industry on the Island and witnessed legends and newcomers. However, an up-and-coming female Dancehall artiste was shot dead on Saturday morning.
The artist who passed away was 24-year-old Keneisha Brown, who used the stage name of Keshan. She was best known for singles “Bubble Yuh Body” and “The Goods”. Keshan also worked with the incarcerated dancehall icon, Vybz Kartel.
According to the police, Keshan, was shot and killed during the midnight hour after having a fallout with a licensed firearm holder in the Sharper Lane area in Jamaica.
Its alleged that during the dispute she threw several stones into the licensed firearm holder’s car before stabbing him several times. According to the police, the man discharged one round from his firearm which hit her in the upper body.
The entertainer reportedly died while undergoing treatment at hospital.
