(WWETV Network) May 29th saw the first ever Xentury Sam Takeover of WorldWide Entertainment TV for Toronto. Being the eve of the first ever NBA Finals game to be played outside of the United States, WWETV caught an exclusive interview with Mega Sean who dropped news about his “We Cook Curry In The 6ix” campaign to rally Toronto behind The Raptors.
During the mic check rehearsal for the Xentury Showcase of talented artists from the city that takes place June 8th at 876 Dundas Street West, Mega Sean performed for the first time ever “We Cook Curry In The 6ix” and stole the show.
With Toronto being a multicultural city, the clever play on words is not overlooked by the Caribbean and East Indian communities. Curry is a popular ingredient that is used in many different foods such as chicken and goat by the diaspora. The night the Toronto Raptors won the Eastern Conference Finals, Toronto rapper, Kardinal Offishall let the world know that he was not going to be cooking any food with curry in it until the NBA Finals were over.
Mega Sean’s play of words can lead to double etendre and is sure to be a rallying cry for many Toronto Raptors fans worldwide. He even threw in some spice for Toronto bred native Ayesha Curry with a tongue in cheek suggestion for her worries she described on Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett.
