It was 30 years ago this month of November, Whitney Houston, released her classic “I’m Your Baby Tonight” album. Now this same month sees London-based streetwear brand Palace Skateboards pays homage to the late pop legend Whitney Houston with a special capsule collection, out Friday, November 13 according to Page Six.

The fashion will include T-shirts, hats, crewnecks and varsity jackets emblazoned with Houston’s name in a collegiate font. One design features the cover of her 1987 album “Whitney,” shot by Richard Avedon — with the modern addition of the Palace Skateboards logo on Houston’s chest.

The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit organization, will receive benefits from the sales of the merchandise that will reach children.

Palace Skateboards is known for its unexpected collections, including a 2018 drop that fused streetwear with Ralph Lauren’s classic style. Famous fans of the brand include Jonah Hill, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Justin Bieber and more.

Pat Houston explains how Whitney Houston’s fashion included not only glitz and glamour on stage, but a more down to earth attire off stage. She told Vogue,
“No doubt she would have loved to have worn it herself!” she said. “Nippy always loved wearing a cool sweatshirt when she was away from the spotlight. This collection reflects her fun and easygoing personality — she would have been proud to wear it, knowing it was for a good cause.”
