The Queens ask LisaRaye who her pick would be to reprise her role as Diamond in a Players Club reboot, after Draya Michele and Joseline Hernandez both volunteered for the character.
Draya Michelle a couple weeks back posted on her Instagram, “This could be me in a reboot but y’all playing,” alongside a throwback photo of the 1998 film’s original cast. She continued by comparing her likeness to Diamond in a series of story posts that show the Basketball Wives alumna wearing a short pink dress similar to the one that LisaRaye’s character wore in the original movie.
LisaRaye has posted a picture with Draya in the past on her social media as you can see below. So, the original “Diamond” does have some connection to Michelle.
Joseline Hernandez did not agree with Draya’s point of view of wanting to be the classic character by jumping on social media commenting under The Shade Room’s post, saying “Except that she’s not #joselinescabaret everyone will agree that I’m the perfect girl to play that role @icecube.”
