The 1990’s has been revisited in 2020 with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. The third instalment of the popular “Bad Boys” franchise has now become the second most successful release on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. weekend ever after only after American Sniper ($107.2M) and ahead of Ride Along ($48.6M) according to Deadline.
The success has even surpassed its 2003 opening number of $46.5M for Bad Boys II, and is on course to besting the entire domestic gross of the first 1995 Bad Boys film at $65.8M. Deadline has also confirmed Friday that Bad Boys For Life screenwriter Chris Bremner has been set to return and write the script for the fourth instalment of the franchise.
