Will Smith has been entertaining fans despite the lockdown for the coronavirus by his Snapchat series “Will From Home” and he recently had his castmates from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” as this year will officially mark 30 years since the show’s premiere. During their reunion, they took a moment to remember their fellow cast member, James Avery.
Will was joined by DJ Jazzy Jeff, Alfonso Riberio, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, and Daphne Maxwell Reid to take a walk down memory lane as they talked about the show and all of the special memories they shared throughout the show’s six seasons.
With tears in her eyes, Daphne said, “I loved that man.” Joseph followed and said, “As James would say, ‘solid,’” as he gave a thumbs up in response to the montage video played by Will.
As you all know, James, unfortunately, passed back in 2013 at the age of 68 from complications following open-heart surgery. Following James’ passing, Will said, “Some of my greatest lessons in acting, living, and being a respectable human being came through James Avery. Every young man needs an Uncle Phil. Rest in Peace.
