(VIA COMEDY HYPE) In the aftermath of Will Smith deciding to slap Chris Rock at this year’s Oscars following a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, Smith’s projects look to now be being placed on hold. According to reports, ‘Bad Boys 4’ and Netflix’s Fast And Loose starring Smith has been halted. Pierre and Capone talk with Symphony Thompson about the news.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, reports that Bad Boys 4 is also on pause. The project was said to be moving ahead, with Smith receiving 40 pages of the script, but it is now on hold as events play out. Other projects in pre-production are also reportedly on hold.

Smith’s postponed projects are part of the ongoing fallout from the Oscars incident, which saw Smith approach Rock and slap him after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith’s alopecia, which has resulted in hair loss.

After days of controversy, Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on April 1 in a statement where he called his actions at the event “shocking, painful, and inexcusable” and referred to himself as a “work in progress.” He now awaits possible further disciplinary actions from the Academy.

Despite his attack on Rock, Smith went on to win an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in King Richard, where he plays the father of tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams.
