On Monday January 27th, WorldWide Entertainment TV was invited media to the TD Bank Black History Month Series Launch which took place at Harbourfront in downtown Toronto at the “Brigantine Room”. It kicked off Black History Month by celebrating the diverse voices and stories from across Canada with host Maestro Fresh Wes.

The event also had special performances Juno Award Winners in songstress Jully Black and reggae icon Exco Levi. WWETV 6ix Host, Xentury Sam was honored to interview the hosts and performers on the day. However, it was the biggest pleasure for her to meet and speak with the woman who helped to implement Black History Month in Canada in the Honourable Jean Augustine. She was also the founder of the Toronto Chapter of the Congress of Black Women of Canada and later became President. Check out the exclusive interview below!
