A rather rambunctious WWE spectator brought back old school memories when he jumped a pro wrestler during a Monday Night Raw broadcast. The New York Police Department has charged 24-year-old Elisah Spencer with attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs (disrupting a live sporting event) for the attack on Seth Rollins during WWE Monday Night Raw at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Rollins was attacked as he was making his way back up the entranceway after his angle with Finn Balor. Immediately, several of the WWE staff and arena security swarmed the area to detain the attacker.
Rollins after it took 3 grown men to pull the guy off: "Is that all you got, boy?" 😒

Police also say that Rollins had swelling in his lip but he refused medical treatment. Rollins was back out towards the end of the show because he’s involved in a storyline with Kevin Owens.
After the incident, WWE issued the following statement: “WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
The news of the charges and the name of the person charged were first reported by ESPN’s Marc Raimondi.

Rollins’ refusal of medical treatment makes it sound like he’s doing OK. It’s fortunate that the situation didn’t become way worse. The Rollins incident was not the only report of unruly fan behavior from last night’s Raw crowd.
Rollins’ girlfriend, WWE superstar Becky Lynch, was spotted checking on him after the attack.

It happened at the same place. Bret Hart was doing a HoF speech and someone rugby tackled him. Some of the beefier lads got to the stage and laid in some heavy blows to the bloke. It’s stupid af 😂

Definitely agree that this wouldn't have happened in the Attitude Era.
No fan would have been dumb enough to try so spear Triple H or Stone Cold or try going after Bret Hart and not wait until he's old like that dude at the HOF
