A frightening incident unfolded at the Beverly Hills residence of global music icon Rihanna on Sunday after multiple gunshots were fired toward her property while she was reportedly inside the home. Authorities confirmed that a suspect has since been arrested and that no injuries were reported.

What Happened

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:20 p.m. local time near Rihanna’s residence in the Beverly Crest area of Los Angeles. Witness reports and police dispatch audio indicated that multiple rounds were fired from a vehicle parked across the street, targeting the gate and property of the home.

Authorities say between seven and ten shots were fired, with at least one bullet reportedly penetrating a wall of the home. Fortunately, no one inside the residence was injured.

Suspect Arrested

Police confirmed that a woman in her 30s was taken into custody shortly after the shooting. Investigators say she allegedly fired the shots from a vehicle before attempting to leave the area. Officers later located the suspect and recovered an AR-15–style rifle believed to have been used in the attack.

At this time, authorities have not publicly disclosed a motive for the shooting, and the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division is continuing its investigation.

Rihanna and Family Safe

Rihanna was reportedly inside the house at the time of the incident but was not harmed. The superstar lives at the property with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three young children. It remains unclear whether other family members were present during the shooting.

The Beverly Hills home, purchased by Rihanna in 2021, is located in an upscale neighborhood known for housing several celebrities and high-profile figures.
