Dan-e-o’s Dear Hip Hop 20 Years Later Concert

WorldWide Entertainment TV Toronto Rappers & Hip Hop Series full coverage of DAN-E-O’s Dear Hip Hop 20 Years Later concert. The event was held on On November 2, 2017. Dan-e-o joined forces with URBNET and EasParkPro to present the “Dear Hip Hop: 20 Years Later” album release party at Toronto’s Revival Bar. Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the release of his legendary debut single, “Dear Hip Hop”, the event also served as a celebration of Canadian hip-hop history as well as a tribute to Dan-e-o’s father who had passed about a month earlier.

Gracing the stage that night were such lyrical icons as Maestro Fresh Wes, Choclair, Thrust, Eternia, Mathematik and Concrete Mob. Dan-e-o also performed alongside the incomparable live band, The Dirty B-Sides and music was provided by DJ MelBoogie, DJ Grouch, DJ Law and DJ Shortcut. Bishop Brigante, Master T and King Lou of Dream Warriors also made surprise appearances.

Captured in this video (#12 of 19) is Maestro Fresh Wes’ performance of “Let Your Backbone Slide” (produced by Peter & Anthony Davis) from his 1989 album, “Symphony In Effect”. DJ MelBoogie is on the 1s and 2s.
