Latto & Ice Spice End Rumored Beef With New Collab “Gyatt”

The track, released on Sept. 4, immediately grabbed attention as fans noticed the lyrics hint at reconciliation. Latto raps, “I ish on hoes for sure, but I ain’t into the scat,” flipping a line from Ice Spice’s 2024 single “Think U the Ish Fart”, which many thought was aimed at the “Big Energy” rapper. She continues with, “I turn around and thick s— has entered the chat, okay,” nodding toward Ice Spice’s self-proclaimed “thick” persona — a move that sounds more playful than combative.

The single cover only adds to the narrative, with both artists posing inside a wrestling ring, clearly acknowledging the rumored back-and-forth between them.

Where Did the Beef Begin?

Speculation of tension between Latto and Ice Spice dates back to 2023. Ice Spice was closely aligned with Nicki Minaj, while Latto collaborated with Cardi B — two stars who have had their own public disputes. Subtle jabs were exchanged on social media, and Latto’s collaboration with Offset on “Fine as Can Be” in October 2023 featured lines that many fans believed referenced Ice Spice’s breakout hit “Munch (Feelin’ U)”.
