Taj Jackson Responds to Janet Jackson Drama Rumors Over Michael Jackson Biopic
Taj Jackson Speaks Out Amid Rumors of Janet Jackson Drama Over Upcoming Michael Jackson Biopic
The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic Michael is already generating massive attention ahead of its 2026 release, but recent reports of family drama have sparked debate online. Now, Michael Jackson’s nephew Taj Jackson is stepping in to address what he calls false stories circulating about the Jackson family.
Taj took to social media on Thursday with a message urging fans not to spread rumors or gossip surrounding the film.
“They absolutely can’t stand the worldwide positivity and enthusiasm MJ is getting right now. Please don’t inadvertently promote false stories, gossip, or lies. This is our MJ party now and they weren’t invited.”
The tweet quickly gained traction online as speculation continues about disagreements within the Jackson family regarding the upcoming film.
Rumors of Janet and Jermaine Jackson Dispute
Reports surfaced earlier this week suggesting tensions between siblings Janet Jackson and Jermaine Jackson following a private screening of the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic.
According to entertainment reports, Janet was reportedly critical of the film during the screening, while Jermaine—whose son plays Michael—defended the project.
Jermaine’s son, Jaafar Jackson, stars as the King of Pop in the film, which has already generated strong buzz online.
Some reports claimed the disagreement escalated into an argument, with allegations that Jermaine accused Janet of jealousy over the film’s focus on Michael’s legacy.
However, none of the Jackson family members directly involved have publicly confirmed those claims.

Taj Jackson Pushes Back on the Narrative
Taj Jackson’s statement appears to be aimed at pushing back against the wave of headlines and speculation circulating online.
His message on X suggests that some of the reported drama may be exaggerated or inaccurate, emphasizing that the Jackson family is focused on celebrating Michael Jackson’s legacy as excitement builds around the biopic.
The film Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua, is expected to chronicle the life and career of the King of Pop and is scheduled for release in April 2026.
A Biopic Already Surrounded by Debate
Janet is said to have been very critical of the film after the screening, while Jermaine “loudly applauded,” TMZ reported. Allegedly, she was the only Jackson to react negatively to the preview.
Her own boyfriend is said to have cheered and said,” Now that’s a movie,” after the film ended.
Though the film was backed by the Jackson family estate, Janet had no involvement and is not featured in the film. TMZ reports that she was offered a role in production, but declined to participate.

PARIS JACKSON RAISED ISSUES OVER GRANDFATHER
Even before its release, the biopic has sparked discussion within and outside the Jackson family.
Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, previously criticized the project and said she was not involved in the film’s development despite early claims suggesting otherwise.
The movie, which stars Jaafar Jackson as his famous uncle, has been described as one of the most anticipated music biopics in years.
With excitement growing and debates unfolding online, Taj Jackson’s message highlights one thing clearly: the Jackson family remains determined to protect and celebrate Michael Jackson’s legacy as the film approaches its global release.
