Simone Johns Takes on Three Characters in Gas Station Pill 2
Actress Simone Johns steps into a demanding role in Gas Station Pill 2, the latest episode in I Got A Story To Tell: Season 2. In an interview with WWETV’s Ms. Goldi, Johns discusses playing Felicity, the episode’s body-switch storyline, and the challenge of portraying multiple personalities.
A character with confidence—and hidden layers
Johns describes Felicity as self-assured, lively, fashionable, and “the life of the party.” But Felicity’s polished exterior is only part of the story. After she switches bodies with Raven, a woman struggling with low self-esteem, Felicity is forced to experience a very different life.
That twist gave Johns an unusual acting challenge. She explains that she had to play Felicity, Raven, and the version of Felicity shaped by the body switch—three distinct character interpretations within the series.
Building different characters

Johns says she enjoys roles that push her beyond familiar territory. In an earlier I Got A Story To Tell episode, Sex Bae, she played Venus, a robot. Creating Venus meant developing controlled movements and a distinct voice; Johns says she even studied robotic sounds to help shape the performance.
For Gas Station Pill 2, the challenge shifted to adapting her performance as characters switched bodies. Johns also praised her scene partner, Nzinga Imani, and described watching how Imani approached Raven so she could reflect that performance when the story’s transformation took place.
Comfort and safety on set
The conversation also touches on intimacy coordinators and their role in helping performers feel comfortable during intimate scenes. Johns recalled the coordinator checking in regularly while she was in makeup, describing the repeated questions as funny in the moment—but emphasized that she respected the process.
She said those check-ins helped create space for performers to speak up and feel safe. For Johns, that support is preferable to feeling uncomfortable without someone on set to turn to.
The story’s deeper takeaway
Beneath the body-switch premise, Johns sees a story about self-worth. Raven believes someone else’s life will solve her problems, while Felicity’s outward confidence does not necessarily reveal everything she is experiencing.
Johns hopes viewers discuss the difference between appearing to have it all together and feeling secure within themselves. The episode, she says, invites audiences to consider self-love and the emotional toll of comparing one’s life or appearance with someone else’s.
Connected to the series
Gas Station Pill 2 continues a story introduced in the first season of I Got A Story To Tell. Johns notes that the earlier Gas Station Pill episode featured Yung Joc, Deelishis, and Lil Scrappy, and that the new installment connects back to that story.
She describes the episode as a mix of drama, romance, thriller elements, and comedy, with an imaginative premise at its center.
