2Pac’s All Eyez On Me Returns to Billboard 200 During 30th Anniversary Celebration

Thirty years after its original release, 2Pac’s landmark album All Eyez On Me has reportedly returned to the Billboard 200.

The renewed chart activity comes alongside the release of commemorative vinyl editions celebrating the album’s 30th anniversary. According to the 2Pac Charts tracking account, shipments of the anniversary vinyl helped propel the project back onto the chart. An exact re-entry position has not been independently confirmed by WWETV.

Released on February 13, 1996, All Eyez On Me was 2Pac’s fourth studio album and the final album released during his lifetime. The ambitious double-disc project debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, selling approximately 566,000 copies during its opening week.

The album produced some of the most recognizable recordings of Tupac Shakur’s career, including “California Love,” “How Do U Want It,” “I Ain’t Mad at Cha,” “Ambitionz Az a Ridah,” “Life Goes On” and “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.”

Featuring appearances from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Redman, Nate Dogg, K-Ci & JoJo, the Outlawz and several other prominent artists, the project captured Tupac during one of the most prolific and complicated periods of his life.

A hip-hop landmark reaches another generation

Three decades later, the continued demand for All Eyez On Me demonstrates that Tupac’s catalogue remains commercially relevant—not merely historically important.

The official 30th-anniversary edition is presented across four gold-coloured vinyl records. The commemorative release gives longtime supporters a new collectible while introducing the complete double album to listeners who were not alive when it initially dominated the charts.

The album’s return is particularly notable during an era driven heavily by streaming. Physical vinyl purchases helping a 1996 hip-hop recording generate renewed chart activity illustrate the strength of Tupac’s multigenerational audience.

The official 2Pac website states that All Eyez On Me and the posthumous Greatest Hits collection have both reached Diamond status in the United States. Tupac has sold more than 75 million records worldwide, despite having a recording career that lasted only five years.

WWETV’s Tupac Files continues with Mopreme Shakur

The chart news arrives as WorldWide Entertainment TV continues its Tupac Files programming with a new exclusive interview featuring Tupac’s brother and former Thug Life member Mopreme Shakur.

During the conversation, Mopreme discusses the original meaning of Thug Life, the message Tupac attempted to communicate and the ways the movement became misunderstood once its image reached the mainstream.

The special also reaches into the WWETV archives for an interview with actor Dominic Santana, who portrayed Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight in the 2017 motion picture All Eyez on Me.

Santana spoke with WorldWide Entertainment TV about studying Suge Knight, researching the private relationship between Suge and Tupac and working with people who had firsthand experience at Death Row Records. When asked what he would say if he had five minutes with Tupac, Santana said he would want to know what Tupac might have done differently—and what direction his evolution would have taken.

That unanswered question remains part of Tupac’s enduring cultural hold. Audiences continue to revisit not only the music he completed, but also the artist, activist and leader he might have become.

Thirty years after its release, All Eyez On Me is once again generating chart attention. For an album built around the feeling that the world was watching Tupac, the title remains remarkably fitting.

The anniversary edition of All Eyez On Me is available through the official 2Pac store.
